Every year, as the Jewish holidays of Tishrei approach, the world of Chassidic music awaits the annual project of world composer Rabbi Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz.
These original annual compositions are released before Sukkot and are featured in unforgettable live performances as well as video clips that are released this time of year.
Just before the launch of their new project for 5778, here's a special medley with the best of Rechnitz's songs from OHAD’s show at "Binyanei Hauma" in Jerusalem. Crowd favorites including "V'searev", "Ani L'dodi", “Rachmana” and “Shakah Chamah" are given new and refreshing interpretations by OHAD, joined by Itzik Dadya, Uziah Tzadok and "The Vocals" group. The rich musical arrangements were written by Maestro Gershon Freishtat, who conducted the orchestra that evening.
This coming Sukkot, OHAD will headline a similar concert entitled “Jerusalem in New York” at The Millennium Theater in Brooklyn, N.Y,, featuring Itzik Dadya, Uziah Tzadok and The Kinderlach, where they will perform a new Rechnitz medley.
Produced by David Fadida and Aaron Teitelbaum, with musical arrangements by Maestros Gershon Frieshtat and Yisroel Lamm, this star-studded performance will include international Jewish music artists never seen together on the same stage. Hosted by the “Voice of the Jewish People,” radio personality Nachum Segal, this musical presentation is sure to leave audience members singing, dancing and hoping for more.
