This song is part of a musical triptych, filmed sequentially over the course of one day.
The first of this three-part series was "Basi Legani", this second video is entitled "Hodu Lashem".
"Hodu Lashem", translates as "give thanks to Hashem", these words begin the very first verse of the second movement of the Jewish morning prayers. These words have and continue to wet our palette for prayer each morning. As we embark on our monthly journey through the 150 Psalms of David, we greet these words as we reach psalm 105.
This song was born in a very challenging time-period for our lead singer Shlomo Gaisin, for it was the final "new" song Shlomo had the fortune of singing to his beloved Father OB"M before his passing, just shy of 9 months ago. May Eliyahu ben Menachem Mendel have a soul ascension.
Many thanks to our dear friend, who doubles as a preeminent, Emmy-award-winning documentary filmmaker, shooter and director, Ora DeKornfeld!
Thanks to Andrew David Freedman for arranging this song and to all the musicians who helped bring this vision to life.
