Yossi Green Presents: Shimon Craimer – Meheiroh I שמעון קריימר – מהרה

Shimon Craimer and I met one Motzei Shabbos in Hendon, London in the home of a good friend. There were three young, amazingly talented fellows who came over to meet with me that evening and sit around the piano for a bit. Two of them have become famous worldwide today as singer/performers. The three were Shimon Craimer, Shloimi Gertner and Yossi Gurwitz ני"ו. Yossi Gurwitz is a fine composer with quite a few hits under his belt. I have since been extremely fortunate ב"ה to have recorded quite a few well-known compositions for Shimon and for Shloimi.
This new composition Meheiro was written from the surge of happiness that came over us when we heard the great news that our second grandchild Tzippy Green עמו"ש got engaged to Eli Tyberg ני"ו. Rushing over to the piano, I began to play to the mental images of our precious new Kallah with her Chosson, our new grandson, imagining them walking down toward the Chupa accompanied by their parents as the melody just flowed בס"ד! Then came the news that one of my Treasured Singing performance artists who now resides in Manchester, England, Shimon, will be in New York on the wedding date for exactly one day. When I called him and asked whether he could make it over to our Chupa that evening because I had this new composition I wanted only him to sing as our grandchild Tzippy would be walking with her parents to the Chupa, he immediately agreed and as expected, enchanted everyone present.
After the Chupa, I gifted him the song, gratefully, asking him to record it for everyone else to hear. Shimon then Produced, Arranged, Directed, Engineered AND Performed the song! Here's his beautiful rendition of our new Meheiro!

יוסי גרין ושמעון קריימר בסינגל חתונות חדש: "מהרה"
שיתוף פעולה חדש ומרגש בין המלחין הנודע יוסי גרין לזמר והיוצר שמעון קריימר - "מהרה".
יוסי גרין: "שמעון קריימר ואני נפגשנו במוצאי שבת אחד, בהנדון שבלונדון, בביתו של חבר טוב. באותו ערב הגיעו שלושה בחורים צעירים ומוכשרים להפליא כדי לפגוש אותי ולשבת קצת סביב הפסנתר. שניים מהם הפכו מאז למפורסמים בעולם כולו כזמרים ומבצעים. השלושה היו שמעון קריימר, שלומי גרטנר ויוסי גורביץ. יוסי גורביץ הוא מלחין מצוין עם לא מעט להיטים באמתחתו. מאז, זכיתי בסייעתא דשמיא להקליט לא מעט יצירות ידועות עבור שמעון ועבור שלומי.
הלחן החדש הזה, "מהרה", נכתב מתוך פרץ השמחה שהציף אותנו כשקיבלנו את הבשורה המשמחת על אירוסיה של נכדתנו השנייה, ציפי גרין עם אלי טייברג ני"ו. מיהרתי אל הפסנתר והתחלתי לנגן בהשראת התמונות שנצטיירו במוחי: הכלה היקרה שלנו עם החתן, נכדנו החדש, צועדים לעבר החופה בליווי הוריהם, והמנגינה פשוט זרמה בסיעתא דשמיא!
לאחר מכן הגיעה הידיעה שאחד מהזמרים המבצעים האהובים עליי, שמעון קריימר (שמתגורר כיום במנצ'סטר שבאנגליה), ישהה בניו יורק ביום החתונה למשך יום אחד בלבד. התקשרתי אליו ושאלתי אם יוכל להגיע לחופה שלנו באותו ערב, כיוון שיש לי יצירה חדשה שרציתי במיוחד שישיר בזמן שנכדתנו ציפי תצעד עם הוריה לחופה. הוא הסכים מיד, וכצפוי, הקסים את כל הנוכחים.
לאחר החופה הענקתי לו את השיר כמתנה, מתוך הכרת תודה, וביקשתי ממנו להקליט אותו כדי שגם אחרים יוכלו לשמוע וליהנות. שמעון לקח על עצמו את המשימה והפיק, עיבד, ניצח והקליט את השיר בקולו! לפניכם הביצוע היפהפה שלו ל"מהרה" החדש שלנו".
