Seven years ago, I was just a 15-year-old boy with a lot of pain, a lot of questions, and nowhere to put all the feelings I was carrying.
At that time in my life, I had left home and was moving from place to place, trying to find where I belonged.
One night, I met someone who played guitar. I was amazed by that instrument. I asked him if he could buy me one, and he did.
That was my very first guitar.
I had no idea how to play it. I would just sit there, playing around with the strings, slowly learning one chord here and another chord there.
But there was something else happening in my life at that time.
I was screaming.
Not because I was angry at the world, but because I was hurting inside. I wasn't happy with where I was in life, and sometimes the feelings were simply too much to hold in.
So I would go into the forest, where nobody was around, and just scream.
I would scream until I felt like I could breathe again.
And somehow, those moments helped me. Every scream was a little bit of pain being released, a little bit of weight coming off my shoulders, and another step toward a better place.
Somewhere in the middle of all that, with the few chords I had learned on my guitar, I wrote this song.
"צעקה"
A song about believing that no scream is ever lost. That even when nobody hears you, your Father in Heaven does. And that sometimes, allowing yourself to fall apart for a moment is part of finding the strength to keep going.
I was 15 when I wrote it.
Today, I'm 22.
Seven years later, that little song I wrote with my very first guitar has become a professionally recorded song and music video.
And standing here today, looking back at the boy I was seven years ago, I realize something.
Those screams weren't the end of my story. They were part of how I got here.
If you're going through something right now, if you're hurting, if you feel like nobody hears you, I hope this song reminds you that your voice matters.
And that no scream is ever lost.
With love,
Isaac Rosenblatt ❤️
