יש לציין שביצירה זאת ובדומות לה אשר חלקן עדיין נמצאות בכתובים, יש קווים מודרניים ומהלכים כרומטיים שביצירותיו המוקדמות יותר לא באו לידי ביטוי, כמו כן נטיה להימנע משימוש בפסאז'ים של קולרטורות ומאידך נטיה למודלציות מורכבות.
ביצירה זאת יש ביטוי מיוחד למילים 'אדם יסודו מעפר' 'בנפשו יביא לחמו משול כחרס הנשבר', ובסיום פירוש המילות לעומק של המילים 'כחלום יעוף'.

Cantor Moti Boyer in a Premiere Performance of Yossele Rosenblatt’s Composition: “Ki K’shimcha”
This rare composition, which had never been recorded and until now existed only in manuscript form, reflects Rosenblatt’s unique style – a combination of deep interpretation of the sacred text, heartfelt expression, and profound Jewish emotion flowing from a soul filled with longing and devotion.
Written in the later period of Yossele’s life, the work reveals the distinctive musical characteristics of his mature style: chromatic progressions, complex modulations, and a marked avoidance of the virtuosic coloratura passages that were more common in his earlier works. Similar stylistic elements can be found in compositions such as “Le’olam Yehei Adam”, “Le-Kel Orekh Din” (in its later recording), “Akavya ben Mahalalel”, and “Elokai Ad Shelo Notzarti.”
Special emphasis in this piece is given to the poignant interpretation of the words:
“Man’s foundation is from dust,”
“By his life he earns his bread, like a vessel that shatters,”
and in its conclusion, the deeply moving phrase: “Like a dream, it flies away.”
This composition is also included in Rosenblatt’s Concert Collection, and belongs to his more concert-oriented repertoire.
