The 20th day in the month of Menachem Av, is the Yohrtzeit of R’ Levi Yitzchok Schneerson, the father of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of blessed memory.
To commemorate the Yohrtzeit, a panel of distinguished Rabbis shared many fascinating stories about R’ Levi Yitzchak and many of his teachings which include deep mystical, Kabbalistic insights.
I was invited to be the musical part of the event. My connection to R’ Levik being, that as very young child I had the good fortune to sing for his wife, Rebbetzin Chana of blessed memory who lived next door to my family on President street in Crown Heights.
