The words אני לדודי ודודי לי are the essence of Elul. A month of coming closer to Hashem, of remembering that no matter where we’ve been, the relationship is always there and the door is always open. אני לדודי, we turn toward Him, ודודי לי, and He is right there waiting for us.
It’s a pasuk that feels so fitting to sing under the chuppah. Two people choosing one another, beginning a life together and building a relationship that will, בעזרת השם, be centered around Hashem and a shared desire to grow closer to Him together.
