Shabbos Parshas Shelach, sitting in Kerestir with Zevy Fried and Shloimy Heller, Zevy showed us an old Chabad niggun called “Atah Echad.” The second we heard it, we knew something had to be done with it, so I got to work on the music right away. A couple of weeks later, I was sitting with Duvid Berger when he added the words “Ein Kitzvu” to the niggun and decided to join me on the song. Romemu Choir came in and understood the assignment right away, bringing the vocals and the energy the song needed. Once the vocals were recorded, we sent everything over to Lipa Brauner, who took all the pieces and tied them together with a sharp, polished mix. From there Avrumy.com took the visual side of the project and created a cover that really captured the energy and feel of the song, Meilech Melber then brought the artwork to life with the animation, completing the project.
What started as an old niggun heard around a table in Kerestir slowly turned into the song you’re hearing today.
May this song bring more meaning to your Yom Tov, and may we all be written and sealed for a year of bracha, happiness, and success.
