Naor Carmi and Mendy Portnoy are two of the leading Jewish music producers in the world today. While both collaborate with a wide range of international artists, Mendy is currently based in the USA and Naor in Israel.
Their story began years ago when Mendy was a student at the Mizmor School of Music in Israel and Naor was part of the faculty. Life took them on different paths, until they reconnected years later when Naor traveled to the U.S. for a performance.
United by a deep love for Chabad niggunim, they decided to make the most of a rare free evening. What started as a spontaneous idea quickly turned into an intimate, last-minute musical gathering in Mendy’s studio. With a small, close audience, they embarked on a musical journey that proved deeply moving and transformative for everyone in the room.
This clip is just a small taste of what unfolded that night—and a glimpse of what’s still to come.

נאור כרמי ומנדי פורטנוי הם שניים מהמפיקים המובילים במוזיקה היהודית כיום. שניהם עובדים עם אמנים מכל העולם, כאשר מנדי מתגורר בארצות הברית ונאור בישראל.
החיבור ביניהם התחיל לפני שנים, כשמנדי למד בבית הספר למוזיקה מזמור בישראל, ונאור היה חלק מצוות המורים. עם הזמן כל אחד המשיך לדרכו, עד שנפגשו שוב שנים לאחר מכן, כשנאור הגיע לארצות הברית להופעה.
מתוך אהבה משותפת לניגוני חב״ד, הם החליטו לנצל ערב פנוי ונדיר. מה שהתחיל כרעיון ספונטני הפך למפגש מוזיקלי אינטימי, ברגע האחרון, בסטודיו של מנדי. מול קהל קטן וקרוב, הם יצאו למסע מוזיקלי מרגש ומשמעותי עבור כל מי שהיה שם.
הקטע הזה הוא רק טעימה קטנה ממה שקרה באותו ערב — והצצה למה שעוד בדרך.
