Based on a nigun the Lubavitcher Rebbe, introduced on Simchat Torah in 1959. Tradition attributes the melody to his grandfather, Rabbi Meyer Shlomo Yanovsky.
Sung with new Hebrew lyrics to try and express the emotion and longing carried in its melody.
